I doubt this law will cause any trouble. For analogy, there are laws around carrying current insurance papers. Once I didnt have my current insurance, since every six months new ones get mailed and I forgot to keep them in the car. I showed the police officer my previous expired insurance and mentioned that the insurance-id is the same. He accepted it and asked me to carry the current copy in future.

Can some one from IV come up with template letter that we can personized and send to our Univ. President. Even we can get support from International Student who are currenly in school.

As per the data, so far people with notice date (on 485) before sept 1st have got their FP notices (except few people). So, I presume if someone's case transfered back to NSC from CSC before spet 1 st, he or she should expect their FP notice soon.
Obviously, we are not going get our notices if there several people lined up with notice dates before our transfer dates.
This is just my logical conclusion, may be incorrect

In a matter of minutes my indicator has gone to 3 reds. Am I missing something... ?!!!
Dont worry too much about the reds. Even I used to have a couple of greens.
But when I saw many people complaining about why IV is not pursuing piecemeal,
I explained them about the Hispanic caucus and CIR.....I started getting reds
because of that.
People often give red even for rational and logical postings here if the information is uncomfortable.

However if you can get visitor visa and after entering america, if you apply for a I-485, most probably USCIS will approve your case. Therefore, In my opinion the challenge is getting B1/B2 visa when her husband is waiting for a adjustment of status.

Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
Yes we did the rally we were great with all those signs, and appearing in the Indy TV but...
Question remains open:
1. When are they going to increase the GC quota?
2. When congress id going to do something?
I've the feeling that that's it we made our point but we are still with no GC, waiting receipts..............

You're right, the point I was making is the real intention of these Senators...When you want to scr.ew somebody you ask questions that are hard and mostly unanswerable....Take this example, Look at the requirement that Hyderabad Consulate has put up for H1B Visa Stamping, it sounds like they are saying don't you dare!!!

The other real American way would be to look at ways of undermining Grassley.
Case in point was Elliot Spitzer. Although what he was doing was right and justified; he took on some big players in Wall Street. Lots of fines; regulations, etc. Then all of a sudden he gets caught in a sting and he is ruined forever.
