Fedex is the best. Do not use DHL ever. I got bad experience with DHL. They took a week to deliver the docs. But fedex delivered it within 2 days. Now I know, always go with fedex.

first sorry for multiple posting, it was by mistake as it was the first time posting. then thanks for the answers. Of course it is a real job with real payment, just remember my application goes back to 3 years ago and and I finally got it with lots of efforts to keep this opportunity. I never thought they might give the visa just for 3 months. now I have to think about all options. Does anybody have any other suggestion?

gk_2000, how far is your place from the towers? did you try Terk HDTVa? you did not get any signal at all? or was it blurry/snowy images?
Others, there is another IPTV provider tv desi and they are also using the same box (Neulion) as Dish Network ..so may be quality would be good....

Your kid is eligible to apply for SSN and you can apply because SSN not only meant for work, it is also for tax purposes. FYI - If you are residing in California or Chicago, No restrictive text will be printed on SSN card. Hope this helps!

I agree most probably you were granted the visa and I can understand why you did not ask the lady whether you were granted the visa or not. It can become very intimidating and painful when dealing with people who use such positions to harass others. They tend to put all their troubles onto the folks who have to come before them helpless. There are avenues to complain but really does that help?
Again I very strongly feel that since the lady did not give any specific reason to deny your visas (which is often required) nor did she give any yellow/blue/green whatever papers, you/family were granted visas. So cheer up and remain very optimistic. Let us know when you recieve the visas.

Mean while I sent email to German Consulate in Atlanta, their reply was that if you have AP you dont need transit visa.
Also as I understand AMSTREDAM does not require transit visa? is it true?
Do you have any tentative dates for travelling ?? How flexible the dates are ??

My employer refuses to give my copy of approve LC.
-- thats not a good sign.. he does not seem to be co-operative...
I had MS + 1.5 yrs of exp.
So not sure if they had exp in the job description as I dont see any job that requires MS + 1 yr of exp.
I am willing to take the risk.
Its upto you. If you feel you'll get through without an RFE, you will be all set, if you feel there is a chance of an RFE, this will be a big mistake. Try to stay on H1-B instead of EAD if you do take a chance... In general people would advice against it, job offers keep coming and going. A chance to file I-485, especially if you are from India might be rare thing.

I think we should send post cards to all the senators. The message should be simple:
1. RECAPTURE of the lost EB visas for the last decade.
2. Per Country quota flexibility.
The post cards should be sent to all the 100 senators.
If people want to send flowers it should be again to soldiers at Walter Reed. I think this time it should say Thank you for your service by USCIS.

Yea, I was making a calvin( and hobbes, hobbes is to hard to make) during my lunch then my works video card shot (luckily i have 4 monitors so 2 still work or I would be screwed). Would be nice if when a video card blew it didn't shut down the entire thing :(

We are talking to Lawyer, Murthy law today.
It's an employment based.
This case of I-485 is 2004.
We talked to USCIS and they say to wait for notice and they do not have nay reason to tell over phone as they do not have access to NOTICE.
Hope Lawyer comes out with something.

Why people ask dumb questions. For me most of these questions are dumb and answers are obvious.
Easy on the guy pal! I am sure he would not have come here to seek help if the answers were so obvious to him.
unseenguy, A lot of companies all across the country are resorting to pay cuts and there is no guarantee that the job will remain either. Mine announced 5% cuts and cut other benefits that had made working in this company attractive.
I am sorry to hear about the job loss already in your household. Here is my suggestion....Do keep a lookout for better opportunities but try to get your wife a job before you change yours. Invoking AC21 is a option but use it only if you find a better opportunity or at least better stability. I know it is a cliche but hang in there and know that there are a lot of families all across this country who are in similar or worse situations. All the best and please fill in your details like PD and GC processing stage.

I am a July16th filer (EB3-India,May2002 PD). We just recd the FP notices on 29th Dec. Though EAD,AP were recd pretty fast, it took till Dec21st to get our FP notices generated. Both my wife and I opened SRs. We got totally different explanations on the SR response letters. Mine was a ridiculous explanation.
I also took infopass appts, but didn't see any use from them. So, my opinion is - just hang in there. You will be getting it soon ! Opening a SR or calling USCIS or even taking an infopass appt mayn't help. It's a matter of time before the FP notice comes ....Hope this info helps !

Nice Article... hits the nail on the head!! I wish it also highlighted the need for high skilled immigrants to be able to get GCs easily too.
