Titles do matter as they are the first ones to catch the eye. To me it appears you are moving from a PM position to a tech specialist position (at least on paper) and you might have some problems there. If possible, try to request for a title with "manager" in it. If that is impossible, try to go by matching SOC code. Does your prospective employer have a legal immigration team to help out?

My first FP was done in July 2007. I have not yet received second FP notice. Normally USCIS sends second FP notice after 15 months. Is someone else like me?

If spouse uses EAD for employment, what I heard is that the H4 status is no more valid.
In this case for any reason, if the 485 is cancelled, spouse will be out of status.
Primary can transfer h1b (if possible) & still be legal, but spouse is illegal to stay any more. There is no legal provision that once on EAD, spouse can switch back to H4. Is this true? I am worried and don't know whats really true.

talk to a lawyer. What you might need instead is to send an explanation that the last time you were admitted is the date stamped on your passport/I-94. The date mentioned in your I-485 is the last date of entry after a non-stamping readmit using visa revalidation etc.

ok gurus here's my situation..
1) Employer A filed my green card and I140 is approved and its been more than 180 days since 485 is filed.. no issue here... recently got my 3-year H1 extension from employer A till 2011. this extension is for 7th, 8th and 9th year... so have already crossed 6 year limit.
2) got an offer and accepted the offer from employer B and employer A does not provide any info regaring labor or I-140...
3) Since H1 extension is based on my green card application, to do a transfer or renewal, copies of I140 and labor is required (according to company B's lawyer)
4) So in this case i'm forced to use EAD and company B's lawyer are evaluating if old and new job description are same or similar...
so now my question is, is it true that transfer/renew of H1 after 6 years without the copy of I140 or labor from employer other than the one filed for your green card, not allowed? is there anything that can be done in this case?

If I get EAD from my current employer and join new employer on EAD before 180 days after filing I-485.
Are there risks that my EAD be canceled before it's expiration date?
Can my new employer start PERM and I140 during that year, and file H1B extn based on I-140 approval before my EAD expires? (Assuming EAD renewal may not be possible, as I left the job before 180 days, and employer never revoked I-140).
I have already completed my 6 years on H1.

yes you can. As per AC 21 once you have counted towards h1b number in last 6 year you are not counted again. So assuming your original h1 wasn't though non profit orgainzation, you can apply for new h1. If you have your I 140 approved you get 3 years h1. PM me if you need more info. I have done it.

Just heard this from my friend. His case is exactly the same (I140-NSC approved, July 2nd 9:01 R.Mickels filer). His got transferred to Texas and got receipts last week. No EAD's yet. Got receipt for FP date today.

I did my footer in Photoshop 7, exported as .png and imported the images into Flash MX. Added a little actionscript and *bam*, I got me a new footer.

you can file EAD on your own, see the self-filing threads on IV, or other webapges on sites for required documentation. Dont spend money on an attorney just for this.

I've done alot of debugging to try figure the problem... (.show()) isn't a method inside the openFileDialog class...?
-The main thing i'm found when debugging is that when the openFileDialog is used to do anything in my program even if i don't use any information from it it doesnt write my TEST data to a xml file or any other methods i use to write an xml file... eg.
When i run these lines in conjunction to the rest of my code

String fileNameToAdd = "E:\\blah";
//String fileNameToAdd = DialogAddTo.FileName;
Commenting out the openFileDialog and just storing a random file name then the rest of my program (eg. writing the xml file and info wanted) works however when i get the file name from the openFileDialog it doesn't let me write any Xml files even ones i have working already.
If anyone has had the same error or has knowledge please reply cheers

I have a word of advice for you. Don�t use TOI (Times of India) style headlines to mislead people into reading your post. If you are one of those Indians who has an innate desire to look at everything with a shade of pink glasses you should reconsider living here. Airlines don�t fly one way from India to US. You can always take the flight back home. 16-hour workdays, a fantastic work life balance, and all basic amenities await you in the land of kamadhenu (the sacred mythological cow that gave the Hindu Gods everything they needed for a happy life)

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.

I have received RFE for very similiar situation. I entered through Niagara Falls
from Canada and My Passport was NOT Stamped. I received RFE for last lawful Entry in United states.
My Attorney told me to submit all CC statement and Affidevit explaining what happened on the POST ( IO checked my Passport and not stamped that sort of ..)
I have PR from CANADA so, while going to CANADA also my passport was not stamped. We are sending the RFE response today (09/18/2008).
Would this be a big issue? or It is a routine RFE?

it is hard time for any H1 transfers. Your best bet is to try hard for a month or two, and plan to leave or stay accordingly.
Again there is no guarantee for the extension of status approval. So eventually there is chance that you might even find yourself loosing the project, when waiting for visa appointment in India. (the client may not want to wait for you for months).
So have all the facts straight, and be aware of possible outcomes. Then it is up to you to decide.
