My ISP has a website that allows me to access my mail from a browser. Your incoming mail may still be there, if your ISP hasn't deleted it. With mine I can specify how long the mail will stay there before automatic deletion.

I don't know if this was listen but i was browseing the apple downloads page and came across this (http://www.objectpark.net/)
it puts a mini ical icon in the task bar. Once clicked, a mini calender pops up and u can hover over the dates and it shows whats scheduled. I like because it shows the real date in the task bar for easy refference. Check it out

I think the real reason he's leaving is that he is frustrated that Apple doesn't care about computers anymore
He's going back into Science, away from commercial products all together. A land where computers are tools, and the knowledge he brings from working on the OS will be used to make better computer models of complex ideas.
Maybe, just maybe, he was asked to join a really cool amazing research team.
If this has been a two year transition then it's probably not due to any unhappiness with Apple or direction. If it was the transition would have been weeks not years.

You might be waiting for a while. If your machine still does what it needs to do then wait...but if you really need a new computer then go ahead. You could wait another 10 months though.

Hey, I was wondering if there's a free or cheap program that can make pictures black and white, but have certain things colored. I have graphic converter. But I don't know how to use it to do something like that. If you can do it with graphic converter, please tell me how. Thanks!

To understand this you would have to go back to the late 1970's when GM introduced the 5.7L V8 Oldsmobile Diesel. In theory the idea was good. Produce an engine that has much better fuel economy, but still has enough torque to pull around a large car. In reality this engine and other GM passenger car diesels are responsible for scaring away generations of Americans from ever owning a diesel car. I don't think you will find many people from 40 years old and up that are not aware of the GM diesel nightmare. To this day the word diesel and passenger car in the same sentence scares them.
Today's diesels are much better and are well engineered and should last much longer then 40-50,000 miles, but something so bad in the past can haunt for years to come.
I don't really buy that excuse anymore. The GM diesel fiasco was over 30 years ago, and most modern buys don't even know about it. I think it has more to do with the fact that in the US, diesel is more expensive than gas, sometimes by a wide margin. I know in my area, the difference is 25-30 cents/gallon. Most people don't do the math to realize that the increased mileage and durability can even that out. Also, diesels tend to be more expensive upfront, and price sells.
As far as the image problem, I think it stems more from people seeing semis and heavy equipment using diesels. Most people associate diesel with semis, heavy duty trucks, and construction equipment. And most of those are loud and belch smoke.

Just buy him some condoms and tell him to keep it down.
It's hardly gonna stay down, is it. ;)
Oh, and by 18, the kid really should be old enough and responsible enough to be able to sleep over at his girlfriend's place. As other have said, they'll have sex irrespective of whether they are allowed to sleep at each other's houses. :)

I don't think the person you are responding to was equating homosexuality with anything. If you've ever given blood, which I have many times, you would know that you have to fill out a form every time which asks you questions based on high-risk behaviors, including sex-for-money, intravenous drug use, and male-to-male sex. They are in no way equated.
Except that the question "male to male sex" is discriminatory. It doesn't ask you "received anal sex", it asks you about your sexual orientation. Plain and simple, discriminatory and non-scientific because male-to-female sex has the exact same risks.

How do they track individual users to know that one person owns multiple devices?
Marginalization of iOS!? That's some funny stuff. One company has more market share than all others combined and you talk marginalization. Full of hot air.
I think it's not air he's full of :D

Pity Isilons suck. Great for IT, bad for the end-user. They support all sorts of protocols, none of them properly.
Better tweak your kernel's delayed ack attribute or you'll be serving data at dial-up modem speeds.
Are you joking? I use a 4 node IQ12000X cluster on a daily basis over both NFS and SMB and the performance is nothing short of amazing.
Still, you don't buy Isilon for raw performance. You purchase it for data protection. They let you specify protection levels for directories and even individual files. That means the critical stuff gets extra protected, and the non-critical stuff doesn't waste 3x its weight in disk space. Pretty slick stuff if you ask me.
Also, their OS is based on FreeBSD, and I suspect they get a bit of help from Apple since their OS development seems to take a few turns now and then at the same time Apple does. ;)
