For those experiencing the "device is not eligible for this build" error, the solution is up at the Apple support discussions. (https://discussions.apple.com/message/13386595?messageID=13386595)

Why do you assume that I'm violent natured?
You just told me that you'd beat hell out of someone (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=12453464&postcount=56).
Non violent people don't tend to use assault to solve their problems.

I can't believe you guys could be such hypocrites!
You spend over 1,000 on an Apple computer and complain about a pathetic little 20 a year for a cloud service?? Seriously, if you're THAT cheap I'm surprised you're not joining the Win PC fanboys in saying "Macs are overpriced junk". Seriously, you have to buy your OWN storage space so why do you think Apple would give you theirs for free?? They're a business, not a charity.
If you wanna use the service, pay for it. If you're not interested then don't. But don't start complaining Apple is charging a ridiculously small amount for using THEIR hard drives. It might by called "the cloud" but your data is still stored somewhere, and that somewhere is on Apple's servers. They weren't free for them, so why the hell should they be free for you?
Oh, also, if you're so cheap why not sell your shiny Macs and use the money to buy yourself TWO Win PCs. That way your precious money goes further.
(Apologies to the ones who haven't complained for having to put up with my little rant there, but surely you can see why this irritates me. :\)

It's WiMax.. iPhone is going to be LTE. Apple is obsessed with thin design. Using two separate chip for 3G and 4G will make things too tight. I'm guessing they want the hybrid chip..
Using two separate chips eats battery life. Not to mention LTE is still "just" coming out, so it won't be widespread enough to take advantage of it until 2012 anyway.

Sometimes. The little squirt just got home from the vet. I took him outside and he ran around a lot. So brought him back in and he went right over to the TV and pooped and peed. Ugh. 9/10 he is using the pads or outside but that 1/10 is making my house smell. Thank goodness for Resolve for Pets.
I must say, I'm blessed with a really good little guy. He goes out of his way to get to the pad. I can't ask for better.

I can't believe people watch this show. I tried watching it to see what the fuss is all about.....it seems like such a formulaic cheesy sitcom.
I love Bill Maher's take on the whole thing:
http://punchlinemagazine.com/blog/2011/03/video-from-bill-maher-to-charlie-sheen-you-are-on-the-lamest-sitcom-ever
I watched it once and was also amazed it was so popular. It's so run-of-the-mill.

Just called up the apple store on regent st - they didnt put me down on a waiting list or anything, but said they're getting them in the next couple of days (not weeks, huzzah!).
I'm stoked - with 2gb as standard, its already saved me the 200 I was gonna spend on the RAM upgrade!!! Including firewire800 and the small speedbump, oh yeah DL burning....I'm quite impressed! The only thing I could have hoped for (aside from cosmetics like maglatch) was a graphics card upg, but that didnt seem likely anyhow.

too awesome! Have you named your fish?
Bluey. lol :p
I have three cats, Lucky, Shadow, and Kitty. And my gf's fish is named Fishie. We're pretty damn bad with names.
That said, with as well as he blends in with his new environment, I may start calling him Solid Snake.

That is butt ugly. I should just retain the unified window appearance and make all the modifications inside the window instead.

Just rocked that shirt a few days ago.
Every single time I wear it someone says something to me about it.
Wore it to Sing Sing (a dueling piano bar, in case anyone doesn't know it) once and the dude made a whole song up about it lol

Yeah I'm sure it can be done, but it could have needed a redesign of the keyboard backlight, so they could have left it to the next generation.
For example, the old-style backlight such as present on the MBP's, seems to have a whole load of visible 'dots', either separate LEDs or glass fibres or something. Either way there's a bunch of bright dots around the keys. I noticed this all the time because on my old MBP the backspace key was tilted forward a bit so the bright dots came into view at the edge and it was actually fairly annoying. This way of building a keyboard backlight is probably relatively thick.
They could replace this setup with a simple layer of Electroluminescent foil, or a lightspreader such as used behind an LCD screen. That requires only the thickness of the foil, and a slightly thicker edge at one end where the light goes into it, but that can be placed at the thickest part of the device. Apple manages to put a backlight in the extremely slim screen of the MBA so this should be possible as well. It probably won't be as light as direct LEDs underneath each key but it should be sufficient in situations where you really need it. I always ran my key backlight at the very lowest setting anyway.
So I won't be surprised if it makes its way back. I guess the more people will complain, the more incentive Apple will have to design something that will fit.

They said they have some 16 gig wifi, and some verizons in stock but no at&t's. I don't think they have enough for the whole line though.
I want an AT&T model.
Guess I will skip today.
