Thanks NikNikon for the advice. I shoot everything from inside the arena so I can move between events to get the best position. Right know the strobes are out of my budget. Thanks MatsP also for your input. After your comments and talking with someone from Showcase here in Atlanta I feel much better :) about what I ended up with. This must be one of the toughest shooting environments you can come across. Do you think a bracket mounted flash would help any with the red eye? Also after 2200+ photos I am trying to learn to batch process pictures with photoshop. I am really please with how the unsharp mask helps the noise from the higher ISO. Any suggestions on batch processing tips to enhance sharpness, reduce noice and adjust levels & color are welcome. I have used photoshop for years in my printing trade but never learned it's full potential for use with photography. Also are any of you using Nikon's Picture Project? Particularly the D-lighting adjustment?

I assume that since you are currently in EB3, your current job description is different from the job description for which your company (if they agree) will initiate the EB2 PERM process for. Also, the EB2 PERM process will be for "future employment" for the different job position than the one you currently hold (I am assuming this, in the absence of any other data), so they might not need to let you go, if they get any responses.
If they get any responses to the EB2 advertisement, they will have to consider those applicants and provide them the same opportunity and diligence that they would to anyone applying for that position. If they do not find any of the applicants suitable for the position, they must have very strong and valid reasons why they cannot hire any of the respondents. Only in case they are unable to hire anyone of the respondents, can they even continue with the labor certification filing.
Also, many employers are fairly certain that they will get many responses to job advertisements and hence they do not want to go through the process for hiring a lawyer etc. etc. etc. and initiating the labor certification process for GC, when they can directly hire someone from the market.
Porting from EB3-EB2 seems to be riddled with obstacles.... not as easy as some suggest.... thank you for your response. A lot to think

I would LOVE to meet the good Senator. However there is this debate that whether we shud wait for the specialists to give us points or make them ourselves.

As per Lawyer need to file for amendment before EAD expires. Need I-20 from Kaplan and another application fee ($190) + PP fee($1,000). :( But at least H1 is approved :)
New I-20 must be valid till Sept 30th and must start either before EAD expires or within grace period (EAD expiration date + 60 days)

Hello Freinds.
After a long wait of 8 years today i got an RFE i don't know what the RFE is all about and will be waiting to get the letter in the mail, do you know how much time does it takes for the paper RFE to come to your lawyer.
RFE was issued today but unlike the email which i got says the status on hold, thats strange
Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD
is this normal or is this is an indication of something wrong and bad.
Please do advice gurus

If you have an approved I-140, you can port the PD as long as your original sponsor does not withdraw his petition. Since your company is being acquired (as opposed to you quitting on your own) it is highly unlikely that your petition will be withdrawn. So as long as you continue doing a similar job as the one for which the LC position was advertised you should be fine.

I am concurrently filing I-485 with I-140 (already e-filed).
The instructions say that I need to write "alien receipt number"
behind my 2 photos that need to be submitted with i-485.
What is this "alien receipt number"?

I have the same problem which zico described at below and I submitted my I-20 for an h1B amendment. It starts before my grace period time ends up.
My question is my amendment is still on pending process since September 17th. Will I be out of status if the school or I cancel my I-20 BEFORE the result of pending process of my H1B amendment?( Am I safe since I already passed October 1st?)
Second question is:Can I do an H1B transfer to another company in such a situation?

I don't know the procedure for obtaining SSN, but i gathered that I have to show my I-94 at the SSA office, along with passport and other ID's.
My I-94(at POE) and Visa stamping expired in 2006.
Got extension till 2007, and then got H1B, followed by EAD.
I haven't been outside the country, so my current valid I-94 is part of my H1 appoval notice...so do I have to show my H1 also?

you should be fine if they ask about expired I-94 (with stamp) as you have an extension till 2007.

Not sure about the Mexico consulate, but you will most probably face problems if you go to Chennai consulate.In case if you decided to take chance and go to Mexico, make sure that you have valid F1 visa to come back to USA. Otherwise you have to stay in Mexico :-)

No Bro. I told them when i came to US in 2000 the salary was 1/20 or 1/25 of what I can make in US. So US was an attractive option. Now the salaries in India are close to 10 lacs per annum, it turns out to be 1/4 or 1/5 of what i make here. With less taxes, less cost of living and facilities in india good enough i guess i live a happier life in India than here.
SO i was presenting him my point that moving back to India may turn out to be a wonderful decision than getting stuck here. If every highly qualified immigrant take this decision and leave, US will be at loss. I did manage to convince him that losing us is a bad thing for US economy. That is how he managed to portray my story in a good way.
