Yes. misrepresentation is risky and dangerous and no one is asking you to do it. All I am saying is don't submit information that weren't asked and expose yourself. For example if you only need to w2s for 2006 and 2007, don't submit 2004 w2s when you were paid less etc. IOs make the decision with the information provided to them and issue RFE only if the info is not sufficient or require clarification. In fact this is what even UnitedNations wrote in other forms.. i.e. don't pro-actively submit extra documentation.
Coming to my wifes case, apparently, according to company records she was their employee since the start of H1B approval, but they were reluctant to put her on project and payroll with out SSN. When we mentioned this, the company owner was very cooperative and in fact ready to give us any letter we ask in case of an RFE or any time we request.

This Jan 1,2007 date is another Joke by this lawmakers. These undocumented workers came crossing the border without any port of entry evidence. How can they prove they came before or after that date.

For me, my AP was approved (along with my wife and daughter) on Oct 1st 2006. My Notice date is Sept 10th. The LUD on AP was 10/04, which said that the approval was "mailed" on 10/02. Hwoever I recd it on 10/20 and I could see that it was mailed on 10/19 from USCIS office. So, atleast for APs, even the status shows that it's been approved and mailed as well, it seems that it's not the case. It's been taking couple of weeks to get them in hand. Hopefully this info helps some people who are still waiting for APs.
I also took an Infopass appt, as we didn't recv FP notices yet. I opened a SR, but nothing so far. It looks that I may not get before I go to infopass next week.

The only restriction is, one may not be looking for "same or similar" job at the time of I-485 adjudication. Why this restriction is even there is beyond me. It doesn't clearly state how much time after the adjudication, you should not be looking.
Of course, the lawyers seem to be on the cautious side. Read the last sentence under intent in the following site (AC21: Changing employer while waiting for pending adjustment of status (http://www..com/greencard/adjustmentofstatus/changing-employer.html) ). It says that ...theoretically, USCIS might be able to revisit the adjudication of I-485 and initiate revocation processing.

Kinkos is horrible!!! I went there this morning and had to wait 40 minutes for my photos and when they came back they had a greenish tint and the colors were all washed out. They looked like a two year old photoshoped them :D Clearly they would have been rejected by immigration so I asked for my money back.
I then went to Sears and they did a great job. They have professional studio equipment and all it took was 5 minutes and I had all my copies looking great like they're supposed to.
So... Sears, highly recommended. They charged me $61 for two sets of 8 photos for me and my wife which is the same price as Kinkos or CVS & Walgreens, less the horrible amateurish quality.
I took the first set of photos in Walgreens, but the background was not clean although plain white.. they was a very light spot in center of the photo, although not obvious, when asked I was told thatz how the background screen is and all photos they take are the same and they showed me few samples. I was not happy and drove straight to Sears and the photo I took came out pretty good. Same or better than the samples in the link below

Anyways, your "assumption" that majority of people are against reputation system is not correct. We see these threads occasionally but it seems almost everyone give reputations. If you are against a system and you have a choice not to participate in the system, would you still participate even if you hate it and can chose not to participate? The participation of almost everyone is a testimony to the fact that majority opinion is not against reputation system.
As far as -ve personal messages are concerned, you have the choice not to look at it. Why not exercise that "choice" and not put the burden on someone else for leaving you an obnoxious message. Which is that people giving reds are usually (though not always) doing it as a personal attack (you suck, F*'s etc.), whereas every green that one receives is usually on subject matter (I have not seen a "you stud"!! kind of +ve reps ;) ).
Also, what it wrong for people to complain about the system? If people have the right to give reds, why shouldn't the forum be allowed to complain about it? And if the popular opinion is against it, then the system can be dismantled.
At both ends (the extreme left and the right) it is always "my way or the highway". Neither one recognizes that there are people with different view points, and that everyone should be given an opportunity to air their own views (live a life of their choosing etc.).

I'm making fun of the situation, but when all is said and done I am so frustrated with this whole thing. Sometimes I wonder if I would have done better somewhere else although, except for this whole GC deal, I do like where I am. I just wonder if my life would have been better in a different way though. Nor will it be possible for the Republicans to simply say no to everything that is proposed in Washington. This may lead to better bipartisan cooperation in Washington, but that is unlikely, particularly given the a real possibility that economic recovery will not happen by 2012, not because of the failure of politicians in Washington to address the problem, but because of the depth and seriousness of the problem itself. I got my I-140 Approved in 2007 and I-485 applied in July Fiasco. working for same employer who filed labor in PERM. Recently got letter from DHS stating that I485 denied as it was filed when dates are not current.
In july 2007, USCISreleased memo stating that they will accept all applications till August 17' 2007. Mine was reached on Aug 14'2007 well before deadline. Got I485 reciept in october 2007.
There are 2 dates on receipt. 1. Received Date (Aug 14) 2. Receipt Date (Oct 12 ' 2007).
They sent Denial letter to Attorney on 01/19/2009 stating that I485 application was filed when dates are not current , they mentioned that on the day receipt date (oct 12' 07) dates are not current.
Took Infopass and went to filed office where I was told that if I this it is USCIS Service error, file MTR .
Filed MTR thru Attorney on Feb 5 09. Filing Fee is not enclosed as it is USCIS service error.
(This was done as officer at USCIS told that Fee need not be included as it is service error, attorney also agreed with this statement).
Till date I did not get any communcication from USCIS. 2 months have been passed.
Please advice me on this issue
Receipting is not done by VO and the staff who do receipting follow certain procedures.
USCIS mailroom has certain protocols and thats why even our AC21 documentation does not reach file.
Files are distributed to different officers and they work on the files.
Without a receipt number you cannot track your MTR.
Talk to a very good Attorney on further course of action.
I filed MTR - my 485 was denied because the officer ignored the AC21 job change. When I called customer service and explained - I was transferred to a VO and when I explained it, she requested me to file an appeal so that I don't have to pay instead f MTR.
When I talked to Attorney - she said "Don't do that - when your MTR gets receipted, you can track it but cannot track an appeal"
Remember MTR = if USCIS makes a mistake - MTR costs $$
Appeal = if you want AAO to consider various factors on a correctly interpreted denial and appeal to see if you can convince.
