You do realize that Mord is transgendered, right? Why not listen to someone who's actually been there for as change?
Because sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "La La*la" is so much easier.

Aperture 1.1.2 runs just fine on my 2 year old 17" Powerbook G4 (1.5Ghz / 1.5GB ram).
I have heard that the graphics hardware on this laptop helps a lot.
It is not as fast doing edits as my my former PhotoMechanic/Bridge/ACR/iView workflow but good enough and has the advantages of a faster workflow when all is said and done.
I've ported 5500 of my D2X raw images into the library. I use a second 23" Cinema Display.

According to the new features list for Aperture 1.5
"Run Aperture on any Intel-based Mac. Any desktop, including Mac mini, iMac, and Mac Pro. Or any notebook, including MacBook and MacBook Pro.
"
That is good to know, because 1.1.2 runs like crap on a Quad with a 6800GT and 8GB of RAM. Unacceptable, really. I basically abandoned the workflow and went back to Photoshop. I can actually get work done that way.
Aperture IS great for cataloguing, though, so for that, I am grateful.
Glad 1.5 ia a free update, too.
this doesn't mean there will not be any updates to the MBP on Tuesday.
I totally agree - today was NOT the time and place, though. ;)

Love this forum for a good laugh. Obviously the OP was wrong with what he did but love laughing at all the holier than thou responses. :D
You mean like posting just to say "I'm laughing at you all?" Welcome to the "holier than thou club, buddy.

But if you are poor and out of work, or you have a low skilled job - such as working at McDonalds - you aren't likely to be a good role model.

I bet it is simply..."We have the iPad 2 in stock and no one else does. Come get one."
If they wanted to hold stock, they could keep them in the warehouse until their special promo. It's weird shipping them to the store and telling them to hold.

Steve Jobs.... retiring?
I would honestly cry. And that makes me sound pathetic.
I don't think that will happen yet... but it sometime in the near future. :(

It's hard to believe that you guys are making this effort to not "spoil".
Your sensitivity to readers who want an embargo on updates till they can view the QT stream first is unprecedented. I can hardly believe you're doing it! The niche purist audience you attract can't help but appreciate it.
Me? I'll be logged on to your live site for up-to-the-minute news!
Keep up the good work. Travis

About 2 months ago I paid an early termination fee and gave up my iPhone because of the dropped calls. I have a Blackberry on Verizon, and consume about 800 minutes a month (peak times, not nights and weekends) and close to 200MB of bandwidth.
I have not had a single dropped call. I can also finally browse the web without Safari crashing all the time.
I would not call looking at the web on a blackberry surfing. It is more like wading in a kiddie pool.

"does your phone have a removable battery?"
um... yes. it's definitely removable. apple will happily do that over swapping the phone if it's required. i've had it done and it meant i could keep all of my data.
and yes, you could do it yourself if you bought a battery and had a screwdriver.

Well, Logic Pro 7 has been cracked and can be downloaded via usenet...
No, it has not. Take a closer look at what the "crack" does.

3.7" is the most appropriate phone size imo. I use htc trophy 7 which is 3.8" and it's just a bit bigger. 3.5" is a bit small though.
Anything greater than 3.8" is a giant screen. Can't imagine using one of those.

Actually, you said:
Sorry, but that's the same at laughing at the people, ie, a form of being "Holier than thou." After all, what did your post add to this discussion except to say that you think you're above the comments being posted.
Nice try at excusing yourself though, "buddy".
If that makes you feel better I'm fine with you calling me holier than thou :D. Feel free to continue bashing the OP. I get a good laugh.

I really never meant to come across as having any sort of problem with or thinking anything less of transgendered people.... But I can understand how Mord would get that impression given some of the previous posts in the thread...

5 - Nuketown, combined with the aforementioned assy spawns, might be the worst thing I've ever experienced in a game. The map is a total mess, made even worse when the enemy spawns on top of you, or behind you, all the time. Not fun. I don't even mess with it now. If it shows up, I quit out. Not worth the hassle.
Yes, I'm fed up of being stabbed in the back too
Guessing you guys never played Rust a lot in MW2. Talk about getting killed as soon as you spawn. Rust along with Terminal was a perfect knifing map. :D
